Our Work
Our work today focuses on addressing two urgent issues that affect lives across the UK: knife crime and violence against women and girls (VAWG).
In the year ending March 2024, there were around 50,500 offences involving a sharp instrument in England and Wales (ONS Data)
It is estimated that 12.8% of women in England and Wales experienced domestic abuse, sexual assault, or stalking in the year ending March 2025 (ONS Data)
Behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a community effected by violence.
In partnership with Amari Rae FDN CIC, through 2025 we have delivered powerful, interactive workshops that spark honest conversations, challenge harmful behaviours, and inspire positive change.
Our sessions have engaged with young people in secondary schools where we are able to connect with participants on a personal level—helping them understand the real-world impact of violence, make informed choices, and build empathy and respect for others.
Our workshops are:
-
Engaging and relatable – led by experienced facilitators with real-life insight.
-
Educational and empowering – equipping participants with knowledge, confidence, and strategies to stay safe and support others.
-
Community-focused – working closely with London schools
Personal, powerful stories often emerge from these workshops as participants share their lived experience. Our talking head films are created directly from these stories where we work in collaboration to bring them to life.
Our two authentic stories from Kofi and Sara reflect the realities of knife crime and violence against women and girls, giving voice to lived experiences and the chance for others to see, listen and learn.
